Entrepreneur Characteristic – Determination Is Key

Having the entrepreneur characteristic is what makes you strive for success. This is your driving force and consists of many traits that not everyone possesses.

Do you thrive on the thrill of turning an idea into a business? Are you the type of person who sees a challenge rather than a problem? Are you constantly looking for opportunities? If you are a high-energy, motivated and numbers person, you may have the entrepreneur characteristic.

It is interesting that the questions did not ask about your education or previous work experience…

Tommy Lasorda, Hall of Famer and one the the greatest baseball coaches of all time, said, “The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a man’s determination.”

Too often we listen to our friends and family and let them lead us astray.  How can they understand, if they do not have the entrepreneur characteristic? We are at fault for not staying on course.  It would almost be like asking them for medical advise and taking it.   But we let them sway us from our goals.

Often it takes a life changing jolt to get us motivated.  Have you loss your job?  Are you worried about losing your job? Large companies like IBM continue to outsource jobs overseas. The numbers are increasing, not decreasing.   They call it Global Expansion.  Last year, IBM outsourced over 5000 jobs to India.

Okay, you are now motivated.  What’s next?  Education is always the next step.

If you could learn how to sell anthing to anybody, anywhere in the world, and it was taught by some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world, would this be movtivation enough to “just do something?”
